2017年にbyakusynのソロプロジェクトとして活動開始。

作曲、編曲、演奏、プログラミング、ミキシング、アートワークに至るまで、全てbyakusynただ一人で行う。

90年代V系、00年代ニューメタル、00年代～現代のポストメタル、ポストロック、ポストブラック、ブラックゲイズなどに影響を受け、

重量感あるリフと浮遊感あるリード、退廃的なコードワークとクリーントーンが共存するインストゥルメンタル・オルタナティブメタルを作り続ける。

2020/04/01 1stアルバム"chinmoku"を、bandcamp、Spotify他各種配信サービスにてリリース。

音楽を始めたきっかけは中学生時代。

赴任してきた男性教諭が故ランディ・ローズを愛するギタリストで、音楽の授業中にゲストでギターソロを披露したのを見て衝撃を受ける。

同時期にLUNA SEAの影響を受け、入門用のギターを購入しギターを始める。

Fコードはクリアするもののピッキングのコツが掴めず弦を切りまくり挫折。

兄弟が持っていたベースを借り、こっちは弦が太いから切れないという理由で、以後ベーシストとしてバンド活動を始める。

ニューメタル全盛期に結成したバンドでは、地元仙台でイベントを立ち上げるなどして精力的に活動。

1stアルバムをリリースするものの、諸々の事情でバンドは解散。

その後ベースを置き、今までアナログMTRすら触ったことがなかったにも関わらずDAWを導入しトラックメイカーとして数年活動する。

しかし、やはりバンドサウンドへの憧憬が忘れられず、トラックメイクの活動を終了。

ギターを１から練習し、再びベースを手に取り、一人バンドとしてbyakusynの活動を開始。

以後、自らの理想とする音楽を追い求め、日々邁進する。ただし曲作りのペースはとても遅い。

byakusynとはびゃくしんと読み、漢字では柏槇と書く。

寺社仏閣に植えられることの多い常緑高木の名前であり、大木になると幹がねじれた様になるのが特徴で、樹齢1000年を超えるものもある。

身近にありつつも畏敬の念を抱く存在にあやかり、拝借して命名。

05/25 宮城県宮城郡生まれ。生まれも育ちも海のそば。

平日日中はシステムエンジニア。

ロック、メタル以外ではクラシックが好きで、最も敬愛するのはブラームス。

続いてシベリウス、マーラー、ドビュッシー、ヴェーベルンなど。

Started in 2017 as a solo project of byakusyn.
Composing, arranging, performing, programming, mixing, and artwork are all done by byakusyn alone.
Influenced by 90's V-kei, 00's nu-metal, 00's-modern post-metal, post-rock, post-black metal, blackgaze, etc.
I continue to create instrumental alternative metal with heavy riffs, floating leads, decadent chord work, and clean tones.
Released the first album "chinmoku" on Apr. 01 2020 on bandcamp, Spotify, and other distribution services.

I started playing music when I was in junior high school.
A male teacher who was assigned to me was a guitarist who loved the Randy Rhodes, and I was shocked to see him perform a guitar solo as a guest during a music class.
At the same time, influenced by LUNA SEA, I bought an introductory guitar and started playing guitar.
Although I was able to play the F chord, but I could not get the hang of picking and cut the strings all over the place.
I borrowed my brother's bass guitar and started playing in bands as a bassist because the strings on this bass guitar were thicker and could not be cut.

I formed a band at the height of the nu-metal era, and was actively involved in organizing events in my hometown of Sendai, Japan.
The band released its first album, but broke up for various reasons.
After that, I put down my bass guitar, introduced DAW, and worked as a trackmaker for several years, even though I had never even touched an analog MTR before.
However, I could not forget my longing for the band's sound, and ended my track-making activities.
I started practicing guitar from scratch, picked up the bass guitar again, and started byakusyn as a one-man band.
Since then, I have been pursuing my own ideal of music, and have been working hard day by day. However, the pace of songwriting is very slow.

byakusyn is read as "biɑkʃin" and written as "びゃくしん" in Hiragana, "柏槇" in Kanji.
It is the name of a tall evergreen tree that is often planted in temples and shrines.
The name is borrowed from the name of the tree in honor of its familiar yet awe-inspiring presence.

Born in Miyagi County, Miyagi Prefecture in Japan on May 25th. Born, raised by the sea.

I working weekdays as system engineer.

Except for rock and metal music, I love classical music, and my favorite composer is Brahms.
I most admired composers are Brahms, followed by Sibelius, Mahler, Debussy, Webern, and others.

Favorite things and things other than music:.
